I use mason jars for EVERYTHING! I make my own soy milk & soy yogurt. I make homemade sauces and dressings. I buy bulk spices, rice, nuts and grains. Literally all of it goes into a wide mouth mason jar - I have 64 oz, 32 oz, 16 oz & 8 oz jars and I do not like the metal lids, unless I'm canning, plus they rust after a couple of uses. Once I open a canned or processed food item, I recycle the metal lid & use one of these. These lids are perfect. They come with rubber seals you can remove when cleaning. They don't leak, especially when I'm shaking up a sauce or dressing. I use these lids for all of my different size mason jars. And, they look nice, tidy & organized, they also last longer than the rusty metal lids. I use these lids every single day. I highly recommend them. ?I had ordered mason jar lids couple years ago, and they were decent. But when I needed some additional lids for the quart wide mouth and pint wide mouth jars, I wanted to try these. Glad I did! You get 16 of these lids. with 16 separate silicon sealing rings that fit well into the lids. For the money I don't think you can go wrong. Time will tell how long the rings will last and remain leak proof. So far so good...These are well made and high quality. Comes with silicone seal you can use with it. Works greatI did like the product. And I use it for my jar of tea when I’m out running errands in the carLiter weight than others i Have but the have a gasket that I think will help.I use these regularly for food stored in refrigerator or cupboards. They are Not designed for canning. Don't even think about it. Sometimes you have to get in a little crevice to clean out some foods, but, usually the dishwasher takes care of it. I can write ingredients on the lid with a sharpie and remove the writing with ESENTIAL LEMON oil (other oils don't really work).Safe and convenientI've been trying not to store food in plastic containers, especially long term, out of concern that chemicals can transfer to the food, so I started saving empty glass jars for reuse. They also have the advantage they can go in the dishwasher, unlike many plastics. But some were missing lids or had two-piece metal lids that are a pain to deal with. These plastic lids seem to seal very well with that silicone ring, and having all the same lids makes my containers seem like a matching set. These just don’t fit on the jars very well. You have to spend a lot of time spinning them to get them in the the threads of the jars properly. They are very cheaply made. I have others that fit much better, and regret buying these ones.Just a flat surface interior. No ridge to aid in sealing. There are much better lids out there. But they will do for now.Threading isn’t fantastic, so putting lids on can be annoying at times.these do not come with a seal for the lids and they leak constantly!! thought I had finally found lids that were actually water tight. nopeThe lids are garbage. Very thin, cheap plastic and the threads are not compatible with either Ball or Mason jars.
