I have used for many years, different brands of mayonnaise, from the most expensive to the cheapest (these are usually the Generic brands that are sold in Supermarkets) and in my experience and personal taste (just my personal view , not a professional point of view), the best brands of mayonnaise American-made, are these: (1)-Hellmann's, (2)-Kraft, (3)-Heinz, (4),Duke's and (5)-Blue Plate. If your budget is tight, like mine, I recommend the brand "Blue Plate", being the cheapest of them all. There are many foreign brands also of very good quality and different taste or flavor, as those from Japan ( they are made with apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar ) or Russian ( they are made with sunflower oil ), American-made brands are usually made with soybean oil since is a cheaper oil. In my experience, the best flavor and texture are the mayonnaise sold chilled in the Dairy Department of the Supermarkets, they are located along with the milk and dairy products, require refrigeration and are therefore made with Fresh Eggs. The mayonnaise located in the normal shelves of a Supermarket, are made with Powdered Eggs, that is why do not need refrigeration. This mayonnaise "Blue Plate", is of a Very Good Quality and a Very Good Taste, I really recommend this mayonnaise.
