The Distinctive Source of Organic Nectar The Tropical Rainforest Heritage of Sumatra is situated within one of the world's three principal rainforest regions. It was designated as the World Natural Heritage in 2004 and as the World Heritage in Danger in 2011 by UNESCO. The exceptional geographical features and equatorial climate provide optimal growth conditions for a myriad of wild plant flowers. This pristine rainforest, untouched by industrial and agricultural activities, ensures a clean, organic and consistently stable supply of organic nectar for Tualang Honey. The Divine Rainforest Giants: Tualang Tree & Apis Dorsata Tualang Tree and Apis Dorsata are remarkable native species that inhabit exclusively in the rainforests of Southeast Asia. Both are tough and strong, serving as vital protectors within the demanding tropical rainforest while enjoying sustenance from it. Apis Dorsata constructs disc-shaped hives on the towering trunks of Tualang Tree. From day to day, Apis Dorsata gathers a diverse array of rainforest nectar from within a five-kilometer radius of their hive, producing the exquisite Tualang Honey, from which its name is derived. Wild Ripening and Handcraft Harvesting The hives of Apis Dorsata mature naturally on the Tualang towering trunks at over 250 feets height. This elevation renders the hives inaccessible, entirely mitigating the risks associated with unethical practices, like feeding antibiotics and artificial sugars commonly found in farmed honey. Honey farmers select mature honeycombs along the trunks based on their keen observation and experience. Tualang Honey is then extracted through a traditional hand-squeezing method. This process combines honey, bee venom, royal jelly, bee pollen, and other organic substances from the hive, resulting in Tualang Honey being rich in natural nutrients. Pursuit of Rainforest Protection The pursuit of rainforest protection is essential for the longevity of the Tualang Honey industry. Health Harvest emphasises rainforest protection and restricts the annual production of Tualang Honey to prevent over-harvesting. Currently, the harvesting of Tualang Honey has emerged as a significant agricultural endeavor within The Tropical Rainforest Heritage of Sumatra, which plays a crucial role in mitigating illegal deforestation and advancing the cause of rainforest protection. Total Activity 9.5+ to 11.5+ The bioactivity of honey is influenced by its origin and nectar source. Bioactivity of Tualang Honey is assessed using a Total Activity (TA) rating, which is comparable to the UMF rating typically associated with Manuka honey. Honey exhibiting a Total Activity greater than 10+ is reported to have therapeutic efficacy. Health Harvest's Tualang Honey undergoes testing for Total Activity at Minerva Scientific Laboratory from United Kingdom, with results indicating a Total Activity range of 9.5+ to 14+. Pollen Count 2.4M+ to 6.5M+ The presence of pollen grains in honey serves as an indicator of its authenticity and origin. In the international honey market, Health Harvest stands out as one of the rare brands that transparently discloses pollen grains information of our Tualang Honey products to consumers. We conducted Absolute Pollen Counts on Health Harvest’s Tualang Honey products, revealing a concentration of 2,400,000 to 6,500,000 pollen grains per each 10 grams of honey. Pollen Varieties 100+ to 200+ In the Tropical Rainforest Heritage of Sumatra, Apis Dorsata gathers pollen from a diverse array of primitive rainforest plant flowers. Tualang Honey is characterized as a multi-floral honey, as it does not contain a dominant type of pollen. We conducted a microscopic analysis of the pollen varieties present in Health Harvest's Tualang Honey, identifying between 100 and 200 different pollen varieties. Raw Unpasteurised Unfiltered Premium honey is characterized by its raw state, meaning that it is extracted directly from honeycomb without any heating or ultrafiltration. Typically, raw honey presents a creamy texture, a less clear appearance, and is prone to crystallization within 2-3 months after harvest. It is also rich in natural essences and contains a variety of active bioactive compounds, such as flavonoids, phenols, yeasts, enzymes, minerals, and amino Health Harvest's Tualang Honey is Completely Raw. Every single jar features unique crystallization, texture, aroma and nutrition value.
