For most cooks, our small 1.5 oz. jars accommodate more than enough spice to be used within one year. However, when you buy refills from a grocery store, many are more than 1.5 oz volume. Buy the smallest refill size or buy spices in bulk at your local natural food store. Even better, fill your jars with our (size appropriate) refills! Jars are EMPTY, to fill with your own spices.
